Behavior Management Plan

The objective of any behavior management plan is to encourage self-discipline among students so that the classroom can operate smoothly and all students can learn to their potential.  With this in mind, our class will comply with school expectations as well as the following classroom expectations:

1.  Be polite and respectful to everyone.

2.  Raise your hand before speaking out in class.

3.  Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

4.  Work quietly and do not disturb others.

5.  Come to school prepared and complete your assignments on time.

Fun Friday Punchcard

At the end of each week, students will be given a card with the above behavioral expectations. Students keep the card in their planners and are responsible for keeping track of it all week. If a student chooses not to follow one of the expectations, a star on the card is punched. If a student receives 3 punches on the punchcard, he/she will not be eligible to participate in the Fun Friday activity.  If a student receives an additional 3 punches on the punchcard, an after school detention will be assigned.  If a students receives one or more punches, the punchcard must be signed by a parent and returned to school the following Friday.  If the card is not returned signed by a parent the student is not eligible to participate in the Fun Friday activity.  In addition, if a student is not eligible for Fun Friday and her or she does not get the punch card signed by a parent, an after school detention will be assigned.  A Fun Friday activity may consist of a half-hour recess, seasonal celebration, general free time, or other group activity.

*If a student is sent to the principal with a disciplinary referral, for any reason outside of the classroom, the student will automatically lose participation in the next Fun Friday.
